The Andalusian Vinicultural Research Centre (CAIV) is a mixed research institute. It is linked to the University of Cadiz and the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Science of the Junta de Andalucía, within the framework of the 2nd Andalusian Research Plan (II Plan Andaluz de Investigación). This institute was created in March 1999.
